Hello,
My response would be that yes, I feel that the main topic in the New Testament is about Jesus’ Crucifixion. Jesus was warning his disciples that the time was coming for him to die. It was important for Jesus to let them know that whether they believed him or not. Even today, as this post talks about, we too have to be warned of the upcoming events that will take place. We have to read and understand why this crucifixion had to take place. God allowed his only begotten Son to die for our sins so that we may have the right the life after death. Jesus knew that this would be a hard task, but by obedience to his father, he knew that the reward would come at the end.
So many of us today has to realize that living as Christ like will be a tough task, but in the long run, our reward will be given. We have to willing to sacrifice something just like Jesus did. We have to give up the things that will be hindering from getting closer to Jesus. Another thing, in this post I read was the Cross. I understand that Jesus took up the Cross and went to Calvary for me. All of my sins was on that Cross. When we think of that Cross, we need to think about who was carrying it and why.
Another significant was the Communion. The Communion symbolizes Jesus’ blood that he shed for me and you on that long day. He shed this blood that I was not worthy of. It is important for us to carry on this tradition with the Communion to remember what Jesus had done for us and not only should we remember it, but we should not partake of this Communion if we have not fully excepted Jesus as our personal saviour.
