How public is this site?
Is it going to only be available to premier members?
as a tester, is there anything specific that is being requested of me to look at and/or analyze/troubleshoot?

No one but us knows this url yet.  Sara is going to do another few tweaks before announcing it on the BAS site, so mum's still the word.

When she's done that we can then tell all of our friends too.  I've got a list of places to announce it that I think will drive some traffic here ;)

...and I'd bet you do too :)

I can work up a list, yes.

wait...
so does that mean it's going to be a public forum?  Guess I had it in my mind that it would be for BAS premier members.

Oops...I presumed you knew.  I knew Sara posted on the other forum but did not look close to see all she said.

It will be fully public  :)

yup, realized after I posted here an dwent back to the other forum.  okay.  I am not sure I like being fully public, since the forums (such as they are/were), were only available as premier members - it was actually a primary benefit that I was looking forward to (the archives are secondary in my opinion, I have stack of old magazines I keep out for reference all the time. - it is more convenient, but still personally, I would have joined, just for the forums (though I had expected them to be more like what the new ones are planned to be).

Hi!

This forum will be available to the general public at first. It was the easiest thing to do, as we are not having to coordinate with the Premier Member database.

Nothing more than just poking around and looking for bugs is required, and for that I think you very much in advance.

We are making some improvements over the next couple of days, and then hope to get the thing open for business by the end of this week.

Thanks so much!!

Thanks.  I missed that initially.  I am very excited about going forward here.

What a thrill and honor to be here to see it from day one.  And how appropriate that it's Christmas.

Like a present under the tree...I can't wait to open it!  :D

I'd like to see it permanantly public.  I think BAS would benefit with the extra exposure too.

As for Premium member benefits, I call the archives priceless.

A Premium area of the forum may be something to consider down the road...

...just my 1.5ยข worth :)
