Why is it so hard for some to disagree with dignity and professionalism?

...without the "you don't know what you're talking about", "you obviously have not done good research", etc. ?

Folks, when you run into posts like that, please report them and we will delete them.

Please do NOT respond to them.

This being said, is there a single person here who disagrees with this?:
What is inappropriate?

If so, we want to hear your suggestions on how to better state what is acceptable and what is not.

The BAS Forum insists on professionalism and courtesy and we are firm in our belief that no matter how strong the disagreement on any given issue, professionalism and courtesy ARE possible in the posts/responses.

Can anyone disagree with that?

Well said. And for my part, I offer my apologies for having responded to such as recently. My frustration certainly got the better of me (which is rare, but it happens).

As to the basics you outlined in the other thread, I whole-heartedly (or as Turan would say, "whole-hearthedly") agree. The next time, I will immediately report such behavior...but in this case, something was not quite right. Anyway, please accept my apology in the good spirit in which it was given. Thank you. Cheers!
