Here is a post from D.Thomas;

I just went and checked out what is happening in the BAS Forum under the "Does archaeology support the Bible" topic. I really thought I heard the theme from Twilight Zone playing in the background. For those on this topic about Tall el-Hammam, be glad you are here and not there. What is going on over there is a bit alarming. No wonder so many scholars poopoo the idea of biblical archaeology. Yikes!

Is this not "belittling"? And this;

I am not at all frightened. I am turned off by the ridiculous nature of most of the posts. There is no intelligent discussion here. For the most part, it is only a pooling of ignorance. The Biblical Archaeology Society will be embarassed by most of what is happening here, I am sure of that!

And this by Steven McAllister:

To many of you,
your patience and kindness dealing with the tin foil hat society has been commendable.

From Rick J on topic "what is inappropriate";

Characterizations of other members in the negative are not appropriate.  Do not disparage other members.Disparaging is to speak of or treat slightingly; depreciate; belittle.

Reply from falasha:
I don't really mind Archaeologist demanding sources all the time even though he doesn't do it himself. It's annoying but not belittling. I don't even mind Elijah calling me Jezebel and the source of all the world's problems (it's biblical). But I do mind the aforementioned comments. I realize it is mainly these posters falling all over themselves trying to impress HRH Dr. Steven Collins but do I have to be their cannon fodder? It is creating a hostile forum atmosphere. I wish everyone could feel free to express their opinions including women; even if they are not up the calibre D. Thomas and Steve McAllister have decided is adequate. I also realize that I have defended myself by using disparaging remarks. But if these belittling remarks are going to be allowed I have to be able to defend myself. D. Thomas, Steven McAllister and Falasha have ALL violated the terms that were agreed to when they joined this forum and should be voted off the island. If these comments aren't belittling, what is?

Every post that is reported is looked at.  I do not see that the posts you refer to have been reported.

Please report the posts you reference so we can see them individually.  Scrolling through that long thread will make us crosseyed :)
