Mount Djingirdag

From The Rock Engravings of Gobustan

Oh please spend some time looking through the whole site wonderful pictures of an area few have been honored to see.  Let alone visit.

For those of you who understand about storytelling on long dark nights with no TV, DVD, VCR or put another way before even the written word!

This next fact may increase your interest as it did mine.
This is one of the earliest areas known for taming the wild grape and wine-making.

Please note the location of this area it lays between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, with 4 major rivers between them forming the Euphrates headlands, that start closer to this area than the Tigris also finding its headlands in this area.

It is my hope you enjoy.  You all have a nice day.

Make your ear attentive to wisdon, incline your heart to understanding; for if you cry for discernment, lift your voice for understanding; if you seek her as silver and seach for her as for hiden treasures: then you will discern the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God.  For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.  Proverbs 2:2-6
