BAR September/October 2008, Vol. 34 No 5 page 6, by Hershel Shanks.  “At BAR we respect all religious faiths.  You may not agree with everything we print, but we hope you find something informative and meaningful in each issue.

BAR is absolutely nondenominational.  We respect all religious faiths.  At some level, none of these faiths is provable by strict laws of reason.  Nor can they be attacked by reason.  Each person’s religious faith is arrived at individually and as a matter of conscience.  We respect this choice.  That is why we appeal to people of very diverse faiths among our nearly half-million readers.”

This one is one reason why I continue to read BAR, it is nondenominational, and its appeal to myself is because I do enjoy the history that BAR brings to light in each issue.

Make your ear attentive to wisdon, incline your heart to understanding; for if you cry for discernment, lift your voice for understanding; if you seek her as silver and seach for her as for hiden treasures: then you will discern the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God.  For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.  Proverbs 2:2-6

HEAR HEAR HEAR as they would dsay in English Parliament.!!!!
Bravo Dear Lady Sekhmeth.!!!!!!
Exactly as I think.
There can be much differences in discussion but Civilite ,Courtoisie and respect are absolutely necessary.

For me as I often posted here the respectfull discussion between Shanks and Jacobovici about  Exodus was a leading light.

Let us follow this lighting example  in our discusions.

I agree with Sekhmet and turancanclath.  BAR, you are doing an excellent job.  I can't hardly wait for new issues to arrive.

I'm rereading some of Bar's old issues, and ashamed to say, it's like reading a new issue.
