I had been going to the BAS Library and stumbled upon a couple of articles that caught my interest. The first was published in BAR 7:04, Jul/Aug 1981 and titled: Earliest Aramaic Inscription Uncovered in Syria. The article goes on to mention a discovered Aramaic inscription but never goes into details on what is contained within the inscription. It only states a few preliminary comments based on the interpreters' first overall analysis. This was because the inscription was still too new and had not yet been studied.

In BAR 8:06, Nov/Dec 1982, the article Scholars’ Corner: Syrian Inscriptions Published in Biblical Archeologist Assist in Understanding Hebrew Bible gives us an update on this inscription but not the inscription itself. One of the footnotes places the published inscription in an issue of Biblical Archaeologist: A.R. Millard and P. Bordreuil, “A Statue From Syria with Assyrian and Aramaic Inscriptions,” Biblical Archeologist, Vol. 45, No. 3, p. 135 (Summer 1982).

My question is, does anybody have this issue of Biblical Archaeologist? If so are they will to scan the pages this article is covered and either posting them in the forum or directly e-mailing them to me. It would be greatly appreciated.

If all else fails, you can purchase the article from JSTOR for $9.
