Does anyone know what happened to the pithoi from kuntillet ajrud? They depicted Yahweh as having a consort Asherah, very peculiar. From what I have been able to find out, it was excavated in the Sinai by the Israelis, and sent to the Israel museum. From there it was returned to Egypt due to some law. What law was this that required it be returned? Does anyone know where in Egypt it might have been sent?

I don't know the answer to your question but it must have been sent to Egypt because it was found within Egyptian borders.

I am sceptical of the Bes relationship. Bes always has curls in his beard. The headgear is also unusual.
